Happy Thursday! Today I am writing about ten key pieces that every lady should have in her closet and to show you how to style each piece. If you have these ten key pieces in your closet then you're very likely to have an outfit for any occasion. Let's get started!!
:: A Black or Khaki Blazer - Key Piece #1 ::
Blazers are a major staple piece in today's society ladies!! Blazers work well at the Job, School, Date Night, A Day of Shopping, Meetings and anywhere else. The thing I love most about blazers is that, one can wear them with skirts, pants, dresses, leggings maxi's, shorts and the list can go on and on..
See how I styled a black blazer below...
I dressed up a casual outfit with a 3/4 sleeve black blazer, added the crossbody bag for a pop of color. A 3/4 sleeve blazer is good for the Spring/Summer months and one should definitely go with a cotton, linen or cotton/spandex blend for this season.

In the above outfit, I'm a bit more dressed up and I actually wore this outfit on two different occasions. One was to church and the other was my sorority conference held in April of this year.
Most of All of my blazers I own are from The Limited and Gap. You're sure to get a high quality blazer from those two stores that's just my opinion. Blazers are an investment, get a good one and it will last you!
:: What To Think About When Buying A Blazer ::
• Fit - How does it feel when you put it on? Can you stretch your arms? Can you button it?
• Fabric - Is it good quality? Is it machine washable? Dry Clean Only?
• Details - Does it have embellishments? Pockets? Fabric detail on the lining?
• Purpose - Is this blazer versatile? A major question to ask yourself when making an investment!!
There's so many options to wearing a blazer. Blazers come in many different colors, fabric and textures, fit and sizing. However a if you have a black and or khaki blazer in your closet you're on your way to building a great wardrobe!
